Career:
Ms. Sotiropoulou was admitted to the Athens Bar in 1990 and qualified to appear before the Supreme Court in 1999.
Since 1991 she holds the position of legal counsel for the University of Athens, and as of 1999 she also serves as legal advisor to the University's Property Management and Development Company. She is responsible for all matters that concern the University's real property assets including leasing, property management, bids for development projects, drafting of the relevant agreements, and generally any matters that relate to the endowments that the University manages. Her position as University Legal Counsel also includes trying cases before the Administrative Courts as well as handling contracts for public projects.
Ms. Sotiropoulou joined Avramopoulos & Partners in 1993 as an associate and a few years later became Partner.
She served as the exclusive legal advisor to various companies who participated in tenders and projects during the Olympic Games Athens 2004. Her client list includes several international catering companies, as well as large hotels and resorts.
Ms. Sotiropoulou regularly advises both national and international companies on complex land and leisure real estate matters. She has successfully negotiated and concluded numerous contracts in relation to hotel land development and construction projects.
She has also served as legal advisor in relation to project finance and the issuance of various bond loans.
